Admission Test Centers
The admission tests are held in different cities to help students. You must choose your center when you apply online.
- IBA Unit: Held only in Dhaka.
- A-Unit and B-Unit: Held in 8 Divisional Cities (Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh).
- C-Unit (Business): Held in 5 Divisional Cities (Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur).
- Cha-Unit (Fine Arts): Held only in Dhaka University.
Note: You cannot change your exam center after submitting the application.
Admission Eligibility
For Ka/A Unit:Students from the Science Group who passed SSC/equivalent between 2020 and 2023 and HSC/equivalent in 2025 can apply. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.50 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams, with a total GPA of up to 8.00 (including additional subjects).
For Kha/B Unit:Humanities Group students who passed SSC/equivalent (in or next year) and HSC/equivalent in 2024 can apply. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.00 for each exam and a total GPA of 7.50 for both exams.
For Ga/C Unit:Business Studies/A Level/Diploma in Business Studies/Business Management students at the Higher Secondary level can apply. Only those who passed SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent in 2024 can apply. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.5 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams, with a total GPA of up to 7.50 (including additional subjects).
For Cha/F Unit:SSC/equivalent pass from HSC (Humanities, Science, Business Education, Agricultural Science) in 2023 can apply. Candidates who passed HSC/equivalent in any group need a minimum GPA of 7.0 in SSC and HSC/equivalent exams (including 4th subject) to apply. You have to follow these steps to complete the Dhaka University Admission Form for 2024–2025:
- Visit admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
- Click on the Log in Option/apply button.
- Provide your SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent Information. Click submit.
- After submitting, check your details and the eligible application unit. Click confirm.
- Upload your scanned Photograph following the Instructions.
- Provide your personal mobile number, and other information. Click confirm.
- To confirm your application, send an SMS to 16321.
- After sending the SMS, you’ll receive a 7-digit confirmation code. Enter the code and click confirm.
- You’ll receive a pay slip for payment. Download and print this copy for submission.
- Complete the Payment with the appropriate option.
Payment Instruction
After filling out the Admission Form, candidates need to pay the Admission Test Fee. It can be paid right away or later, but it must be done before the deadline. If the Application fees are not paid, the application will not be accepted.
Application Fees can be paid through Mobile Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or any Scheduled Bank. To pay the Application Fees, follow the instructions below.

DU Admit Card 2025 Download
Once you finish the online application, Dhaka University will provide the Admit Card. A unique Admit Card will be issued for each unit, and candidates need to download a separate Admit Card for each applied unit. DU Admit Card 2024-2025 will be available from 23 December 2024. It can be downloaded one hour before the admission test for each unit.

Mark Distribution and Question Pattern
Dhaka University’s admission authority changed how they give marks for admission. Now, they have reduced the importance of MCQ and CGPA marks and have given more marks for the written exam. Dhaka University Admission Test 2024–25 will be 1 hour and 30 minutes. The exam will consist of MCQs and written (descriptive) questions. The total marks in the entrance exam will be 100. The MCQ of 60 marks and the written test of 40 marks will be accepted. There will be 45 minutes allotted for the MCQ exam and 45 minutes for the written exam. The admission test will be as per the syllabus of the Higher Secondary Examination 2024.

DU Seat Plan 2025
Before the Admission Test for each unit, Dhaka University will release the Seat Plan. It will provide detailed information. DU Admission Result 2025
The admission result will be published after each unit’s admission test at Dhaka University. The result is determined by considering the marks from the MCQ and written admission tests, along with the HSC and SSC results.
As per the Dhaka University Admission Circular 2025, only candidates who pass the MCQ test will have their written answer scripts evaluated. If someone fails the MCQ test, their written answer script will not be assessed.
